The NV-FH2 is a flexible, premium-quality 8 channel PWM fan hub that is ideal for powering up to eight fans in home, office or multi-purpose ventilation applications using an external power supply with 5.5mm barrel connector such as Noctua’s optional NV-PS1. It’s compatible with 5, 12, and 24V fans with 4-pin PWM and 3-pin connectors and supports up to 60W total power draw. While 3-pin fans can be speed-controlled by voltage adjustment, 5 and 12V PWM fans can be controlled by connecting the optional NA-FC1 controller to the NV-FH2’s 4-pin PWM input. Alternatively, the NV-FH2 can also be powered via this input (up to 22W total power draw), e.g. in PC environments where it can be run off motherboard fan headers with PWM control and RPM monitoring, or when used with Noctua 5V PWM fan models that include USB power adaptor cables that make it possible to run the NV-FH2 off power banks or standard USB power supplies. Thanks to its advanced protection and signal filtering features, the NV-FH2 not only runs safely with fans that produce high starting currents or transients, but also supports cascading multiple units for controlling up to 71 fans simultaneously. Fixing the NV-FH2 is a breeze thanks to the integrated magnets that enable snap-on placement on steel surfaces, as well as the mounting tabs with screw holes that make it possible to fix it using screws or cable ties. The hub can either be run without the included clip-on cover for easy status monitoring via its white status LEDs or with the cover on for extra protection from dust, contact or mechanical impact. Topped off with CE, UKCA and UL certifications, full compliance with all applicable safety standards as well as Noctua’s 6-year manufacturer’s warranty, the NV-FH2 represents the gold standard in highly robust multi-purpose splitter boards that work just as nicely inside a PC as in other ventilation applications.
5V, 12V and 24V fan support
Thanks to its high quality MOSFET transistors, the NV-FH2 supports 5V, 12V and 24V fans. This makes it a great choice not only for use with 12V PC case fans, but also for 5V-based home ventilation setups as well as 24V environments such as 3D printers or industrial applications.
Compatible with 4-pin PWM and 3-pin fans
While only 4-pin PWM fans can be controlled via PWM, the NV-FH2’s keyed output connectors are also compatible with 3-pin fans, so it can also be used to run multiple 3-pin fans from a single power source and to adjust their speed simultaneously by reducing the input voltage.
Optional NV-PS1 universal 230/115V power supply
The NV-FH2 can be powered off the mains using the optional NV-PS1 power supply that makes it super easy to run fans off the mains in just about any environment. The NV-PS1 supports both 230V and 115V and comes with modular plugs (EU/UK/US type).
