About Laing Thermotech, Inc. The Laing family of companies had its beginnings in Stuttgart, Germany in the early 1970's with the introduction of unique solar and pump products.  Born from extensive research and development activities, Laing now has a large number of registered patents in consumer, commercial, and industrial markets.  From its initial success in Europe, Laing entered the U.S. market in 1983 with the formation of Laing Thermotech, Inc., in San Diego, California.  Current operations within the Laing family group include research and development facilities in Stuttgart, Germany; manufacturing entities in Budapest, Hungary; sales and marketing operations in Osaka, Japan; and sales, marketing, and distribution facilities in San Diego, California.  Today, Laing’s primary focus is on the manufacture of fractional horsepower pumps, flow-through heaters, and hydronic heating components. About Laing Products Laing's patented, spherical motor design is truly “state-of-the-art” in pump technology and eliminates problematic shafts, seals, and bearings found in conventional, mechanically sealed pumps.
