To mount radiators on the outside of a PC case you need the appropriate screws. The Alphacool M3 spacers are exactly for this mounting option. The set consists of 4 screws and 4 plastic spacers which are put over the screws during installation. This gives a distance of 34 mm between the radiator and the housing. This distance is necessary so that the air, which is blown down on the radiator by the fans, can escape to the side.
The spacers are of course also suitable for other mounting locations as long as the material thickness does not exceed 1.5 mm. The material of a PC housing is usually 0.6 to 1 mm thick.
