This is a temperature sensor at the end of an approx. 50 cm long cable, which is sleeved black for a great look.
The sensor can be flexibly attached to a case (for example using adhesive tape - not included in delivery!).
At the other end there is a small 2-pin connector, similar to that found on mainboard front panel connectors.

Thanks to the 2-pin connector, the sensor can be easily connected to an LC display from XSPC (e.g. if the original sensor no longer works) or any other temperature meter with 2-pin connection.
