Bitspower's Aqua Pipe I, BP-WTP-C17, is designed to be used internally in reservoirs, and is similar to the included pipe in Bitspower's own Z-Multi tank reservoir line. This is not a barbed fitting that can be used in an external application without something to seal the thread side of the product.
